 I would love to see people not drinking and ruining their lives too..but
 what you don't seem to realize (because you don't seem to have a problem)
 is that alcoholism is a *disease*..a cunning disease..No one starts off
 with the intent of becoming an alcoholic..most feel that they can drink
 and not have a problem..that it doesn't control them...but..it can and it
 does..Just telling someone not to drink *if* they have a problem doesn't
 help..the person who is doing the drinking has to tell themselves that 
 they have the problem..*then* do what they can to try to stop..and, yes..
 it is very, *very* hard but not impossible..
 That is why there are groups like this..to help those that want to stop
 drinking and to help those that *have* stopped drinking to stay stopped..
 I hope you never have this problem...but if you ever do...you can come
 here and find some understanding and help...
