Thanks for the info, at least I don't think I'm doing anything stupid that would cause my APs to not be set up properly. The WPA along with a weaker signal at times sure sounds like the cause of my headaches. I've since got a total of 4 APs and I'm getting some better antennas, two directional and two non-directional. So far the signal seems to be better, less likely to drop significantly.
