Why are you quoting Maoists here? Surely anyone who knows to look to the Bible
for anything should also know the Maoists are completely unreliable?

>This seems to fly in the face of what I interpret as being said here;
>that no matter what you do, God will feed you, so do not worry about
>whether you eat or drink.

But wait: don't the birds of the air sometimes die of hunger and disease too? So
perhaps you should be more careful in your interpretation. Start by not turning
to Maoists for statistics.

>But perhaps if it is God's will that I am not fed, and I should die,
>then that is the way it was meant to be.

That is more accurate...

>I just realized though, that I took that a little out of context. Jesus
>was not speaking, I think, to everyone, but only to his disciples.

But if this were so, how could He have said that our Heavenly Father feeds even
the birds of the air? If it were only the disciples this applied to, then it
could not apply to the birds of the air, so He could not have used this
expression.

The passage is an exhortation to trust in Providence and trust in it completely.
The Maoists you quote are desperate to keep you from doing this. This is why you
should not read them at all. They are your enemies.
