Divination is an abominiation to the Lord.  Strictly speaking, the
term, in its widest sense, refers to soothsaying or the unveiling of
hidden things, as illustrated by Saul's visit to the witch in 1 Sam 28.

Again, strictly speaking, there is a difference between divination and
clairvoyance in operation.  The clairvoyant is spontaneous in
experience while the diviner makes use of various helps.
In Deut 18:10-12 and Hos 4:12 we see that it is condemned.
