EP> Being pro-gun involves more than just voting and beating on a
EP> keyboard.
It does? I didn't even realize it meant doing either of them. Here I
thought it was a personal belief.
EP> It certainly doesn't involve insulting everyone who
EP> doesn't agree with your narrow viewpoint.
Can't find that in the definitions of pro-gun either.
EP> It means standing up and working to make things happen.
Damn! Where IS this source of yours? I can't find ANY of the things
you claim pro-gun to mean. All I can find is pro-gun means pro-gun.
EP> That's what I do, and
EP> have been doing (judging strictly from my interpretation of
EP> your writing style and the content of your thought process)
EP> since before you were born.
And in that time we've lost more rights then all the previous years
combined. Are we supposed to thank you for that?
EP> There's a little more to this
EP> fight than words, something to which you might give some
EP> consideration. I repeat my assertion: You're all B.S. and
EP> bluster. You either don't believe your own words, or you lack
EP> the courage to act upon them. Ernie P.
Funny thing about you and your words.
You're quick as heck to demand anyone who says they are unwilling to
compromise either go out into the streets and fight or be branded an
Earnest coward. And you talk about others having narrow views, shesh!
It's either Earnie's way, or hit the bricks.
Say what you will about how pro-gun you are, and how much more pro-gun
then most of us you are, or about how deeply committed you are. Fact is
though, you vote for anti-gun candidates, insist others vote the same,
and ridicule those that would vote pro-gun.
You talk about better days in the future. I've heard that for many
years now. Decades in fact. For decades people like you have been
promising that if we just give up a few more of our rights it'll all be
better in the future, and then we can get them all back. Just a few
more of your rights, for a few more years. Decades upon decades.
Yea, I'd say I'm no compromise. Which is different then you. Oh I
might get forced to turn in my gun because of the elected officials
voted into office by people like you. But I'm not about to support
them. I'm not about to support laws that further restrict my rights,
like you do. I'm not about to support anti-gun laws, like you do. I
will not ever tell my congress critter to vote anti-gun, like you do.
I'll be that wacko out on the fringes that you don't like. The one that
votes pro-gun. The one that tells his congress critter to vote pro-gun.
The one that tells the critter if they don't vote pro-gun I'll vote
against them next year. And you can continue to call me a coward if you
will, and insist I've got to run around in the streets if I believe what
I say.
Seems to me Earnest, you won't be happy until we've given up all our
rights. Then you can say "oh well, I tried." Or something like that.
Continue to pat yourself on the back for not voting pro-gun, and feel
good about yourself.
Just don't expect me to go away or shut up because you don't like people
who vote or speak pro-gun and no more compromises.
