Hill ponders future

(10-Jul-98) - Former world champion Damon Hill's future could be decided by
whether or not Honda make a return to F1.

Hill is undecided on whether he will start 1999 with another team or stay
with current team Jordan. This could depend on Honda re-entering the sport
on their own, or linking-up with the Silverstone outfit.

Jordan's engines are currently supplied by Mugen Honda, a subsidiary of the
Japanese company, but Hill believes the team need the full weight of the
company behind them in order to achieve real success.

"Honda have made it known they are coming back to Formula One,"
said Hill. "There's talk they will build their own car, but I would
like to see them come back in with Jordan and provide us with the engine we
know they are capable of building."

Hill's manager Michael Breen is understood to be currently in talks with
Jordan, but BAR who are looking for an experienced driver to help develop
their debut car have also shown interest in the Englishman.

"Damon has a huge amount of talent and I think he is totally
underestimated in F1" said BAR's managing director Craig Pollock.

"I don't know what Damon wants to do in future, but I would not rule
out having talks with him."
