I didn't test that way.
I had two batch files List.bat, list.btm and list.com and list.exe in a
directory to test the preference. Most of the time I typed c:\dx\list to see
what file was started. But I must have typed "list" too. Instead of the
version mentioned before. While List.bat has been a copy of the file
list.btm, list.bat contained a simple "echo bat." List.com was a copy of
V.Buergs List and list.exe has been a copy of arj.exe. So now you should know
how the alias influenced my test results.....
