There is a huge difference between "can mean" and "does mean".
We make a lot of jokes by substituting a "can mean" for a
"does mean".

However, you may read "age" where I read "day".  I see
no good reason
to do so. I guess a person could work for six ages and rest every
seventh "age". And assign any period of time to an age that he chooses.
But, that would be too confusing for me. I'll stick with "day" meaning
"day".
