GP>Before anything changes, anti-gun voters are going to have to take a
GP>look at themselves. I guess the alternative is that we just pretend
GP>that everybody is progun & keep typing away about the guns we _used_
GP>to have.
I understand that Guy, and in fact agree with you.
GP>I didn't "call" him anything. I indicated his politics were
GP>anti-gun. At least that is going to be the net political effect of
GP>his vote.
There is a world of difference between these two sentences:
"...but your vote is an anti-gun vote, and through your vote is now you
speak."
"You are an anti-gun traitor."
GP> NP> Tends to turn them off to you and to the argument.
GP>I thought that was what progun people were supposed to do . . . try
GP>to get others to vote for progun candidates.
Yes, but not by turning them off to your pro gun argument.
GP>I didn't consider myself, or others, as a stupid fool, moron, etc. I
GP>had been deceived! I want to tell others they are being fooled, too.
GP>However, I guess we can just all pretend that it doesn't make any
GP>difference . . .
Pointing out the hidden or icky sides of the candidates is one thing.
Calling a person a traitor for supporting that candidate is another.
That's all I'm saying Guy. Nothing more. I don't think people should
vote for Dole. At least not in the name of guns or the 2nd amendment.
But calling a person a traitorous, anti-Constitution gun banner isn't
going to show them the light either.
