Yea. 
Years ago a neighbor of ours was a vet out at the local college.  He had
some sort of special experimental fly attractant/killer.  Apparently he
had just dumped some of it on the floor in one of the rooms.  I, having
the greatest of luck, happened to open the door to that room one day.  A
3-4 foot high pile of dead flies will give you nightmares for months!
