Did you happen to catch the show about Navy SEAL training? Now that was
different. They didn't let the cameraman film most of it. But they did get
to watch some parts.
The drill instructors all used megaphones to shout at people 5 feet away
from them. They had automatic rifles full of blanks that they were blasting
away near the recruits in very the first hour and a half of training. The
training started at night the first hour and a half also featured cold
water hoses blasting on the recruits, smoke, and other distractions plus
the automatic weapons fire while they were ordered thru various actions.
