Actaully I meant a working Linux SBBS with your aforementioned upgrades.
All I know for sure is it didn't work before when I connected to a Linux
SBBS but did when connected to a win32 version connecting with the exact
same client on this end. I also noted, and said in a prior message in this
echo, that the win32 version wasn't quite as good as a regular Linux ftpd
but considering it had to scan, pack and send all the messages from the
proper bases, then the delay might not be as bad as one would originally
think. However, having said that, I'd almost be willing to bet money that
a real Linux ftpd properly scripted for such behavior might have a decent
shot at leaving the win32 SBBS ftp qwk door in it's dust.

Anyhow I said and thought way back then it is a good idea. Needs work.

:-) I think MBSE is much better.

I give up. Why don't I?

Life is good,
