KD> To me, this sounds like a UART problem....
Well if that's the case, then a data overflow problem sounds about
right. I've had UART problems in the past with my old 14.4k SFM. But
that problem was simply that my old 14.4k was using an emulated 16450,
not a 16550, and my software (DOS) didn't seem to like it.
KD> I've got 2 external Supra's here, and they work just fine with my
KD> ISP...
Well there WAS a MAC user, here on this echo, reporting a simular
problem. I doubt he was using an internal SFM. (grin)
KD> I don't get many 28.8K connects with them, but I do get great 26.4
KD> and 24.0 connects just about every call I make...
Well I'm not getting any worse, or better connect rates. On average
I get 26400. I've gone back to the older firmware -12, and I'm STILL
getting this problem, mainly becasue some of my ISP modems are using the
new buggy 33.6 firmware. I need to get my friend to change them back,
it's nice having the sysops ear.
