I wish to share an experience I had with SeaQuest...
The dive shop where I got certified, recently had a tent sale. Those
individuals who volunteered to help set up all the gear got first picks
on anything that wasn't nailed down... Needless to say my FIL and I
volunteered. I picked up a used (for students getting Certified) Suunto
Companion ($155.00), as well a Henderson Polartec suit. Now I have all
my own equipment. No more renting! Anyway, the dive computer is about
a year old, with a one year warrantee given by the dive shop. Unfortunately
there was no manual. I found the number for SeaQuest and gave them a call.
I explained the situation, and before I finished they were asking for my
address. I am very impressed with this type service. I never thought
it would be that easy. I figured (like some Computer, not scuba related,
companies) that if you bought a used item with no manual, you pay for it.
