I don't mean to extend the back and forth on this
thread but I do have a question.
What if the LEO trying to take the car refused to
produce proper id? There have been several cases where
people have dressed as LEOs to commit crimes, every
thing from petty theft and robbery to rape and murder.
I can very easily see a carjacker doing it. He could
probably take three or four high end cars in a night
before the cops caught on and got the info out.
Of course if the driver had a scanner and the police
were using a clear radio then he'd know that a crime
had been committed. But most major police departments
don't want to allow people to hear what they are doing
so. . .
