Actually Nast ole Dempsys are commonly found in South Florida canal they were 
released by misguided or idiotic Aquarist , they and their foriegn colleages, 
Mayan Cichlid < oscar, Tilapias, Peacock Bass,etc etc etc etc have almost 
destroyed the local fish in the everglades thanks alot NOT.....BTW in the 
Summer Florida Sportman they had a 4 page article on the joys of fishing for 
Oscars along with recipies...(hhheehehehehehehe and folks still buy them in 
Miami pet stores while down the street kids catch em on worms )
