-=> Quoting Bj”rn Forsstr”m to Jim Weller <=- BF>> Is it the same to live in Yellowknife as it was in Ottawa? JW> It's as different as say Halden in Ostfold and Paris, France both JW> in size and climate. BF> So, how come you know about Halden? To be honest I don't. I looked in an atlas for the name of a town with the same population and latitude that I thought you might know. JW> We are about 1600 km north of Edmonton, Alberta BF> Puh...... BF> Don't find Alberta on my map, only Alberta City, Alabama. You would need a map that shows the ten provinces as well as all the cities. BF> We do have an Alberta here in Sweden. :--) Named after royalty called Albert, no doubt. BF>> do you have to fly everywhare? JW> There is a two lane highway.... JW> It is easier to fly but more expensive BF> Can't be free to drive 1600 km either and then back. Driving a car (and paying for a hotel for one night) is about the same as one airplane ticket but cheaper than two tickets if my wife is with me. BF> And it must take som time........ Sure. At least 16 hours, usually split over two days. When i was younger I would drive it in one day. But my wife has relatives living in many small towns between Yellowknife and Edmonton, so we often stop and visit. If they put us up for the night, there's no hotel bills either. Cheers, YK Jim ... How does the guy who drives the snowplow get to work in the mornings? ___ Blue Wave/386 v2.30 [NR] --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
