Benetton setback

(31-Oct-98) - Benetton received a setback in their battle for third place
in the constructors' championship when both Giancarlo Fisichella and
Alexander Wurz qualified behind rivals Williams and Jordan.

"We still have problems," said Fisichella, "The car suffers
too much understeer in the quick corners and oversteer in the two slow
corners. In addition we do not have enough grip at the exit of the
corners."

"I tried to push as much as I could, but during my last lap I went in
the gravel. Tomorrow, I hope we can perform better with the racing set-up.
However, for me, I would be happy if it rains!"

Team manager Joan Villadelprat was also disappointed: "It is not the
result we expected for in our scrap for third place in the Constructors'
World Championship."

He accepted though that all could change on Sunday: "Nevertheless,
tomorrow is another day. We tested a lot with full tanks and on race day we
believe the car will perform well and hopefully we can make a fight for the
third place."
