KS> Sadly I saw that between the 71' engines and the 72's there was a big
KS> drop inpower, but I worked on a 72 SS Chevelle with a 454/270 HP
KS> engine and it ran nice even though I actually didn't try it far as I
KS> was only bringing the car in for some work.
That's still a lot of power for a Chevelle considering the torque is
still quite high. A lot of the detuning took away the top-end HP.
KS> BTW, I have the book "50 years American Automobiles", but it only
KS> goes up to 1989, is there a newer book?
That's the only one I've seen, but if you find one let me know where. I
would prefer one from 1950-1999 or similar.
