The whole ball of wax is lightmax.zip, and I think Gary released it out onto
the MaxFDN some time back. Its FREQ-able here as LIGHTMAX.ZIP as well as up
on Gary G's system. I just tried to cover all the bases for new Max sysops
and tossed in my own menus with the source ANSI screens for all of you to
play with. I get a letter from time to time with samples of whats been done
with it , and thats enough for me, that and credit for the screens. Many
of you do great work with the meccas and mex's, and I will need one or more
of you to do the programmer side of things when I get the new toy done to my
satisfaction. Would you or your users like a complete set of ten menu types
that a user can choose to run as THEIR menu type on login? I have about half
the menus done now and am trying to be creative enough with the other half to
interest a few of you. The few users I have spoken to about it are
browbeating me daily to finish! My problem is, the best menus come when I'm
not really pushing it . Gotta let those creative urges come in their own
time, eh.
Anyway, ideas on how to implement a complete set of menus across the board
once the user picks a menu type? I have some of my own ideas in mec but am
always open to other options from the better mex programmers out there.
Hopefully I will be done by the time someone comes up with the method. I
agree with what another sysop or three has stated, Maximus CAN be fancied up
a lot, but it doesn't do it by itself .
Adios for now,
