Thank you for the help, Incidentally the 700a is the scanner i am going to 
purchase, even before i read your letter, but it still helped me make my mind 
even more. There is another difference you forgot(I think) is that the Radio 
shack scanner blocks out cellular and the 700a doesnt, unless I am wrong 
about it. Where do you live? I am asking so we could share frequency info.
