Bruce,
I use a cash account for the same purpose. Here's what I did for
the past year. (I'm using QWv4 by the way). If you're like me, using your
"cash" account the way "we" do you have a pretty good stash by the end of
the year. Since I'm not as dilligent as I should be about maintaining my
credit accounts, I use my cash account to clean them up at the end of the
year. (debit or credit with my cash account to whatever the credit card
statements indicate). For the left-over amount in the cash account, I
created an account I called "trash" and deposited all the money from my
cash account into it. I then deleted the "trash" account. Only thing is, I
did this before performing the "year end" operation. This isn't a very
clean or orderly way of handling this problem, but it has worked for me so
far. Good luck.
