Hey Paul!
MK>> Whit's fur ye'll no go past ye.
PH> Huh?
Apparently it is a well used Scottish saying that more or less means, whatever
happens will happen, or, whatever will be will be. Something like that. I
thought it was appropriate for the occasion given that we have no say over the
matter, not that I would want to decide for them.
PH> those who are thinking No are concerned about the unanswered
PH> questions around international banking, security concerns etc.
Fear of the unknown. Independence often is a rocky road off the mark although
in this case they've already had much experience with governing, albiet within
the Union, but it isn't like they are totally blind to the ins and outs with
governing issues. Banking and what exchange they adopt should the Yes side
wins would be the greatest concern methinks.
PH> Not sure the Yes camp has been able to offer all the details post
PH> Yes that some would like to know.
I think independence is the goal. Masters of their own fate and the such.
Latest news on the matter in this neck of the woods has them running neck and
neck. Nobody seems willing to call it one way or the other but by all accounts
it promises to be a well attended event. I heard over 85% turnout is expected
which is a good indication that all concerned are definetly engaged. Very
little to no apathy over this matter in Scotland that is for sure.
Life is good,
Maurice
