I didn't get one of those.  One day in Mandeville, while minding my own
business and checking my mail, I find a notice that I'm a party to the suit
-- period.  No request was made as you mention above.  I suppose what I
should have done was write them a letter of denial and CC'd it to GM.  That
may have frosted some of the lawyers, especially the way I would have
worded it.  (-:[
 
In retrospect, I never felt I was in danger because my truck had dual
saddle tanks.  The only danger to me at the time was pumping 20 gallons of
gas into each of them.  Fortunately, I only had to do that if I was going
on a long trip, as I did when I visited my younger son when he lived in
Jackson, MS.
