Gidday everyone,
Recently there was a car audio competition held in
Christchurch, New Zealand. The overall winner sported a system that
could produce in access of 125db of sound, (sound??? really!)
Surely sound levels of this magnatude are definately injurious to ones
health. Not only to the ears but other vital organs. Seeing that most
of the sound (aka NOISE!) is produced behind the driver (passengers if
there is room) then damage to organs such as kidneys, liver, spleen etc
is more than likely? Especially since a large component of that sound
is generated in the BASS region. The owner of the winning (?) system
claimed to have spent in access of NZ$20,000 and says he is not happy
yet and is going for a rebuild. (Him or the car I wonder?) ;-}
Point two,
At what point does all these db's start auto-dismantling the vehicle?
An aquaintance had a VW beetle with a 200Watt power amp and as winter
set in he had numerous windscreen/rear window leaks occuring. I wonder
why? ;-]
Cheers from down under.... home of the America's mug. ;-)
