JT> Oops, I brain farted here, he actually hung himself, not shot.
JT> Which gives way to a new political party, "The rope party"
JT> which is just a spin-off from the "Lets smoke dope till we drop
JT> party", since rope could be made from hemp, a cannabis based
 JT> product.

We'll ban rope after a lunatic with a 32-rope magazine runs amok and
hangs 35 people at Port Arfur. Get real.

JT> Speaking of steering wheel locks, I just remembered a story
JT> someone told me about someone who got into their car after a
JT> party, and drove off, forgetting the steering wheel lock. It
JT> was the type that hooked down around the brake pedal. They
JT> noticed it when they came to a corner and tried to press the
JT> brake, except it didn't go down. They ended up in the living
JT> room of the house at the street junction.

ROFL! And then you try to swerve, and it won't do that either!

Another good trick is to turn off the engine with power steering and
power brakes. Brenton warned me about that one, and it is terrifying!
You can hardly turn the steering, and then you leap on the brakes and
they don't work either! Worth practising, in case it ever happens...

JT> How does one not notice the wheel lock is on? Don't you press
JT> your brakes at some point while starting or before moving off
JT> in your car? At the very least, turn your steering wheel?

The hoon across the street fires up the engine, floors it, and spins
the wheels all in the same second. He'd be halfway to the corner
before he discovered he had no brakes and no steering... and already
doing 80K.

Regards,
Bob
