Sadly, no fun or dramatic story. I was opening a package of kielbasa and the knife slipped, removing aslice of the pad of the index finger. Don't know how long it'll be before I can get fingerprinted. I was using a newly washed and sharpened knife and the bleeding stopped fairly quickly with pressure applied. It really only hurts when the bandage snags on something (often) or I forget about it and put pressure on it (also often). A friend assured me that I should slather it with Neosporin since the commercials assured him that it would heal faster but I decided against it since the never-opened package of Neosporin I had in my first aid kit expired in 2001. Good thing band-aids don't expire!
