I wanted to add a few more remarks to my previous comments regarding the
meaning of the phrase "the kings of the east", as it is found in
the Book of
Revelation.

If we look at the Biblical record, the historical record, the linguistic
record, and even modern news reports, it is difficult in my mind to not
conclude that "east" may be referring to Anatolia, or Turkey.

Of course, to balance out my statement, there is another very important fact
to consider; and that is that as China and other eastern nations continue to
develop, their need to acquire more and more oil will continue to grow.
Thus, in the not-too-distant future, China may very well become involved in
a military struggle to control the Middle East oil fields.

However, there is another glaring reason why I personally do not feel that
the "kings of the east" is referring to China.

If China were to make an attempt to control the Middle East oil fields, why
in the world would the Chinese go to northern Israel -- the site of the
Battle of Armageddon -- to wage a war there? They wouldn't, would they? Of
course not! They would go where the oil fields are actually located, such as
to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the Gulf Cooperation Council states, etc.
