subject: The Mail Hub And Fidonet Via News Server

Hello All!

At some point on Tuesday September 29th 2009, both the Mail Hub and The
Fidonet Via News Reader Server will go offline. Both reside on the same
machine.

My plans are to:

A. Move the Mail Hub over to the Windows Box.

B. Move the Fidonet Via News Reader Server over to the other linux box I have
which also house my private reading node.

The reason I am doing this is two-fold.

1. I am expecting to receive a new Windows machine stuffed with power, the
addition of a new box, means one has to go, the old box I will keep as a
rainy day insurance policy.

2. Several key linux updates have interferred with elements of my hub
software which have had no impact on mail processing but file processing.
The binaries on the windows machine are more stable and arent reliant on
 external libraries.

I have most of the cfg, batch and script files copied over and editted, but
the moves I need to make entail copying over message and file base files,
which means I have to turn off the transport daemons, make the moves and
re-enable the daemons and then trouble shoot any issues..

Most of you may not notice a thing. the moves might take an hour or so, it
might take longer??
