Hi Julia,
JSł It has been a while hasn't it ? I have been so busy... but it
JSł sounds as though you have been just as busy if not more so....
Well, thats just how we are huh? :-)
JSł I have found these "dauber" type of embossing inks to be the best for
e
JSł so far... the biggest problem is getting the feel of the flow of the ink
in
JSł the dauber... I often get to heavy of a covering... but then patting it
ont
JSł my handy towel takes care of that problem.. but it take a bit to figure
out
JSł just the right amount to apply. And yes I do sell them... I will send
you
JSł e-mail on the partictulars.
Great because I went in search of them yeasturday and couldn't find
any. In fact the stamp store here hadn't even heard of them.
JSł Have you tried taking a small paint brush and applying the ink that way
JSł onto the area that you want to cover... this is how I do it in some of
thos
JSł cramped or specific areas that I want to cover.... I am able to get a
smo
JSł coverning this way.
Haven't tried that. I will now though.
JSł WOW! you definitly had a very crafty day didn't you... I hope the job
JSł huting goes well for you today!!! Definitly keep us all posted on the
progr
JSł of finding a job.
It's looking promising. The woman I had to talk to wasn't there today, but
one of the other people that was there talked to her about me. I'm trying
to leave it up to God.
JSł The box sounds good enough to eat!!! I have been sitting here
hinking
JSł of what you could do to fix it so the lid would fit correctly...not that
I
JSł have come up with much to suggest... the only thing I can think of is to
cl
JSł off from the lip of the box all the goodies you did... and then maybe
paint
JSł a flat line to match the rest of the primary coloring of the box... and
the
JSł remember for the next box to mark off where NOT to paint or embellish
JSł . This is definitly a tough one!
This box really is pretty. I put a coat of gloss varnish on it last
night, but still having problems with getting the lid on and off without
pulling the paint off. I didn't emboss the parts that are touching here.
It's just painted and varnished so I don't know what the problem is or
what to do about it. It's really frustrating me! Even the vaseline didn't
work and that was a very far out solution.
JSł Today I have a crafty day planned... Well sort of anyway.. I have
just
JSł finished making my first shaker card... I am pleased with how it came
ut
JSł for the most part... I was a bit off on the front of the card but no one
wi
JSł really notice that I made a small opps!
I keep saying I'm going to do a shaker card, but i've yet to do it. Right
now I have so many new things that I'm trying that my head is spinning.
I tried pressure embossing on the vellum paper yeasturday. It just wouldn't
work. I drove all the way over to the stamp store with my card and asked
them what I was doing wrong. She said I was suppossed to put the stencil
on the outside of the card. Well, duh! I never would have thought of
that. I'm going to try it again today and see if it works. I felt so
dumb, but she said lots of people make that mistake.
JSł I am also doing at least one piece a day of pergamano still.. I am
ust
JSł loving it!
I can't tell you how hard I'm fighting the urg to pergamano. I just don't
want to get into the expense. I did buy a one hole punch pergamano tool
yeasturday to use on my vellum embossed cards. I'm hoping it makes a nice
look. I guess I'll know soon.
val......
