This is a good place to start looking for a component that you can use to
build your own humidity sensor.

The cheapest turn-key device I can think of is the following:

Buy two Go!Temp temperature probes from Vernier and plug them into two USB
ports. Cost: $58.

Alternatively, you could use a Go!Link interface and the humidity sensor. 
Cost: $126.
