I used to have an AST Advantage 14.4 Fax/Data/Voice modem. I found out
It (mine) emulates a Hayes Ultra Smartmodem. Did yours come with an AST
computer? If it did, then look  in the AST help files. I think it's on
the right side of the screen on the AST shell, "Ask AST". I found a
listing of ALL the commands and a brief description of what they do/what
they're for. 
If you don't have an AST computer, I can send the commands to you as a
text file, or I *think* I can send the actual help file. It reads like a
normal MS help file.....
