No, she always used the clutch.  I let her use my '68 Impala with the
Tonawanda-built 327 engine and I was the one who discovered the clutch was
unnecessary.  My previous car was a new 1960 Impala with a Turboglide
transmission.  The only one I know of that had "Grade Retard" on
the selector dial.  I had a lot of fun in that car.
