DL>Hi Marj,

DL>Are you sure we aren't related?
I HAVE been wondering.....????????
DL>I was making shredded cole slaw and suddenly - a burning
DL>sensation on tip of right index finger. Automatically
DL>turned on faucet and stuck my finger under the running
DL>water which had taken on a bright red tint.
This sure sounds familiar!
DL>Off to Sick Bay to get it looked at. Had it bandaged and
DL>wrapped and go a tetnus shot to add insult to injury.
Oh yeah......I left that part out!!! I got the good old tetanus shot
too! :-(
DL>Finally found my fingertip on the slicer blade - had
DL>searched all through the cole slaw. Figured I'd added some
DL>protein to the veggies.
DL>And yes, there is still the callous/scar tissue.
DL>Fortunately, I was slicing the cabbage really fine so
DL>didn't do as much damage as you did.
DL>To top it all off, I sold some Avon Shave Cream for
DL>Sensitive Skin to the Corpsman that took care of my finger.
I didn't sell Avon, myself, but my mother was an Avon Lady for 35
years!!
The president of Avon came from New York to Edmonton to host a luncheon
for her!! She won many awards which I now have, as well as a 30 year
collection of Avon...still full and in boxes...!! I grew up on Avon!
WE MUST be related!!!
Are you back at your crafts yet??? Everytime I pick up cones, I think
of you! :-)
Been doing decorations for Todd's wedding...only 10 days to go!
I have seen enough white stetsons and cowboy boots to last me a
lifetime!
Take care. Marj
