Anyone who has read COMP.RISKS and followed some of the trade press will know
that this scenario (obviously meant to be ironic in the above newspaper
article) is in fact very real. People are seriously considering, and in many
cases taking actual steps, to employ people with no proven aptitude,
experience, or talent at programming in order to solve the Year 2000
"problem".
