subject: Message traffic

-> SE>CW>The message traffic i am recieiving is less than 20
-> SE>CW>a week. Is this correct or is some getting lost in
-> SE>CW>the great cyberspace?
->
-> SE>I'm sorry to say that this looks about right Carl. I
-> SE>think the Internet is really drawing a lot of interest
-> SE>away from the BBS community. I pull in most all of the
-> SE>Usenet Scuba message areas and they are filled with messages.
->
-> It seems that there may be a re-discovery of the local BBS's if they
-> can last it out. On our local board we have been discussing the lack
-> of "homey atmosphere" that the Internet has. It is just toooooo big.
->
-> I think one salvation of the local BBS may be if people are able to
-> telentet to them through the internet.

  Hi - I figure BBS's will weather this out - over here it is more
expensive (internet), and, in the BBS you can identify with other local
users . Seems to me Internet is just another attempt for the big people
to dominate & comercialize. InterNet is not what it use to be and keeps
changeing more and more into Big-time money makers.
