True.
But, in a sense I was teaching my students to cheat. I told them that,
if they saw that the two shorter sides of a right-angled triangle were
8 and 15 units, for example, they should just write down 17 for the
hypotenuse, without doing the calculation.
It works, and saves a lot of time. But maybe it isn't quite ethical!
