 Yup. If it wasn't for the competition they wouldn't be where they are
 today. In word processors the competition was WordPerfect and they
 went after it with Word. Speaking of Word, I liked the Dos version
 of Word more than I ever liked WordPerfect Dos.

 I didn't/don't like CA period, and I don't think I'm alone. Clipper
 5.3 struck me as as strange animal - a Dos development tool with a
 Windows interface. VO was quite pricey, and after my experience with
 their dBFast, there was no way  I was going to touch VO. I got the
 impression that many people felt that way about VO after having
 been bitten with CA products.
