Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to see any of the work, or the crack
either.  There was some question whether the gasket could be installed
inverted, and if perhaps the thermostat stuck, etc.  Not being there to
see what took place, I only got asked, after it overheated again, what
could be the problem.  I posted some questions on known problems with the
iron 2.3l to some newsgroups, and here, with no response.
