I forgot. They tried out electric buses that used the street car overhead
power cable before they went to diesel powered buses.

When my parents came to visit San Diego, their first venture of the day
was to board the trolly and ride it around town. Then get off by the bay
and feed the pigeons and sea gulls.

LOL! Probably not. The trolly in San Diego could be ridden all day by a
senior for $1...anywhere, anyplace.

Odd thing about San Diego's trolly. There was a company in SD that made
cars for the Bay Area Rapid Transit system in SF. Instead of buying
locally, the SD trolly system imported trolly cars from France.
