BK :>Wellllllll we loped (sort of) tonight.. got her started..
BK :>then had to go back and re-enforce the walk/trot cues..
BK :>since all she wanted to do after is trot or attempt a
BK :>lope... chuckle.. I lost tract of time tonight.. I was on
BK :>her for at least an hour.. I really did push it a little to
BK :>much tonight.. since the weather is starting to cool and
BK :>she's in a roaring heat... but she's so easy to work with I
BK :>just lost tract of time, and we really weren't working all
BK :>of that.
Great! She must be a joy to ride if you lose track of time! Gosh, Bob, she
sounds wonderful!
BK :>The lope was no more then about 6-10 strides either way...
BK :>got to give her some time to work up to it. That's what I
BK :>had to do with the trot and it was easier for her this way.
BK :>More to come. ;)
Sounds like she had a nice first lope! Nice way to ease her into it.
BK :>visit shoo'ed Tush.. and Tush darn near got her rear feet
BK :>over the fench just close enough to kick the gal.. I told
BK :>her that this is a young horse and they are unpredictable..
BK :>and that was a REALLY good way to get kicked.
Why is it that people think that a fence will protect them from a horse who's
acting up (g)?
