   They are vague on the features they will implement.   They can probably
get a $10 computer, but what good is it if it doesn't work in an
environment with limited or no electricity or internet access?   The $100
computer takes those limitations into consideration.

   I think it goes without saying that they won't be loading a $499
operating system on it.   It will be interesting to see what effect a large
number of kids growing up computer literate, and not on Windows.   For that
matter, it will be interesting to see the effect of a generation of
children growing up computer literate in societies not having many
opportunities for computer literate people.
