Well, the only reason for a router is the existence of multiple machines so
he's a good part of the way there already.

Comped ISP and AOL means he's saving a few bucks every month.  Now put that
toward a new machine for himself (or son) and the old machine (which you've
just spent ages recovering) can be used for the Black Gospel world.

For your sake, I sure hope you can convince him of the error of his ways!
