Steve, My buddy and I were looking for an inexpensive weekend getaway to Ft. 
Lauderdale. A couple told us abut some good diving of the northern most hotel 
on Òhotel rowÓ. Apparently they stay there and dive patch reefs about 50-100 
yds. right off the beach.  Rates were quoted as $30-$40 per night. Can you 
give any more info. (Like the name of the hotel) or any other suggestions 
about a low budget weekend?
Beach diving here (off Venice) has been ruined by local politicsÕ big idea of 
beach replenishing. The vis sucks, and the few reefs are now under 20 feet of 
beautiful white sand. BLAH. Anyhow, our gear is starting to show signs of dry 
rot and cobwebs. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Remember: divers do it deeper , , , and come up wetter!
