I concur. I find that most top posters include the whole original post
and don't bother to remove the irrelevant (stinky) parts. But then I
guess each person has their own sense of smell. :(

By bottom-posting I meant/include in-line, that is writing *after* the
relevant text.
In-line is a fine fidonet original style.
Have you ever tried to modify internet email messages to in-line? I would
use a combination of indent, bullets, italic, bold. It freaks out some
people that you reply to! :)
Some "devices" would be inconsistent on how they handle bullets, then it
is hard to understand who wrote what.
