I was wondering that also.  Then I realized that I have all the copies of
W2K I need, and moved on.

I did see something about the dev promo version being non-upgradable to Win
2003 Server, with a max of 10 CALs.

I used to know the difference between W2k Server and W2K adv Server, but
that was long ago, and those brain cells have long since been re-allocated.
