subject: 33.6 Flasher

Patrick,
I was on the Supra web site and read about the 33.6K FlashRom Upgrade. I
downloaded the flasher and read the instructions.
I own a 288 v34 external modem. When I ran the flasher, it didn't tell me
that I needed to send it to the factory and it allowed me to flash the modem.
I then tested the modem to see if I could connect at a higher rate. I
connected to my fileecho link at 31200 (great!), but the modem cycled through
its display (CD, LP, DC, R34, 31, T34, 28...) rather quickly and never showed
the connection (using FrontDoor). After awhile, it hung up and the screen
displayed "Carrier Detected" and "Carrier Lost".
So I thought I'd reinstall the old flasher (1.400something), but it told me
it couldn't flash the modem because no information was available about my
modem.
Any clues or help would be appreciated.
