Hello Art!
On 19 Oct 96 you wrote to me:

I think this would be the relay on the Ascension-islands.
I can also hear them on 21470 kHz, coming from Cyprus in the afternoon.
On October the 12th I observed a partial eclipse of the sun here in
Central Europe using a refractor telescope. I projected the sun on a
screen and I didn't discover one sunspot at this time (I had already
observed the sun before the penumbra of the moon touched our area ;-) ).
I think the sun activity is still low at the moment and we have to wait
one or two years for the longed-for flares.
Today I'll send another netmail to you. The only one I received from you
was dated October the 18th.
Happy monitoring
Andreas
