Something to do with the time of year perhaps?
Last night, I replied to a netmail from a person who runs a Sub-BBS off my 
system. This uses Maximus as well, but it lives in it's own directory - it 
can be reached from my system and shares the modem/hardware but that's it. He 
said he had the exact same problem (in his case it was linking a file from 
his newuser2.bbs, then running the BAT file from there). And my only 
suggestion to him was to try an [XTERN_RUN] (or is it [XTERN_DOS] for BAT 
files?) in place. I use that myself to run a program from my welcome.bbs, and 
it works OK.
