Carling Black Label... tasted like nasty dishwater to me. ;-) We had one
up here from Syracuse too, I can't remember the name at the moment. It
tasted like salad oil and dishwater mixed. Blech, actually tasted oily.
Then there was good old Rolling Rock. Our local beer is not considered a
premium beer, Genesee. But I never found it as bad as those You mentioned.
In fact 12 horse ale, one of it's brands was strong but a good beer, and
Genny light was one of the first light beers, and I thought that was fine.
Their Cream Ale, was popular, but oddly that was the one that did not
appeal to me.

Does anyone remember the Schlitz and Doolie Commercials? My Parents had a
set of those Steins around for years.

Have a good One!
Mike
